Our resident trainer and stable manager,
Ann Mary Bettenson, has had extensive teaching experience since she passed her
British Horse Society teaching certification in 1989. Whether you are preparing for serious competition or
riding for fun, starting work with a youngster or fine tuning your skills on a
schoolmaster, then Ann Mary can help. As well as lessons on the flat and
over fences, Ann Mary will also work on lunging, long-reining and give stable
management lectures either privately or to a group.

In London, England, Ann Mary taught
members of the Civil Service Riding Club and the Honourable Artillery
Company Saddle Club at the Royal Mews as they prepared for competition. |

|
|
In Canada Ann Mary taught members of the London
Pony Club during the Eventing season and was an instructor at the Manitou-Wabing
Sports Camp. Ann Mary teaches the members of the Deep Run Hunt Pony
Club on a regular basis. Her teaching specialty is show jumping, but she has
also had great success with riders of all ages and abilities in all
English disciplines both in lessons and as a visiting clinician.

As well as teaching, Ann Mary has ridden and
worked with some of the top show jumpers and racehorses in the UK, driven
the delivery carriage for Fortnum and Mason PLC in London and whipped in
seven-couple of Harrier hounds as part of her duties as sole-charge groom
in Andalucia, Spain. Her varied career gives her an appreciation and
understanding of many aspects of the horse industry as well as a positive
and encouraging teaching style. Her sense of humor doesn't go amiss
either! |
